explain what it depends upon

if you are considering radiation to be an electromagnetic wave, then the intensity is the amplitude of the wave.

If you are considering electromagnetic radiation to be a beam composed of particles of energy; i.e., photons, then it is the number, as opposed to the frequency, of photons traveling in the beam per unit of time.

It is going to affect the neck area. So, the foods must be high protein, but easy to chew or not involve a lot of chewing. (protein shakes as well would be good)

Side effects could be extreme sore throat, mouth pain, nausea, and loss of apetite/taste. This is why I need as much help as I can get.

I’m undergoing radiation,I was told Many good proteins to eat,but I think for you yogurt,whole milk,ice cream,& maybe fish like haddock,it’s very flaky.You can even make your own protein shakes,or milk shakes…
It’s hard,I know,I have to eat 101 grams a protein a day..

External beam radiation therapy is radiation delivered from a distant source, from outside the body and directed at the patient’s cancer site. External beam therapy is the radiation therapy treatment option used for cancer patients. It is used to treat many types of tumors including cancers of the head and neck area, breast, lung, colon, and prostate.

Depending upon tumor location, low-energy radiation does not penetrate very deeply into the body and is used mainly to treat surface tumors such as skin cancer while high-energy radiation is used to treat other deeper cancers.

Stereotactic radiation therapy involves focusing the radiation beam on a small area and delivering very high doses. The therapy targets a tumor from many different directions so the beams of radiation converge on the tumor. This way, it destroys tumor cells is delivered directly to the tumor growth, while the amount of exposure to the area surrounding the tumor is minimized. Stereotactic radiation therapy is very effective in treating small tumors such as those in the head and brain.

My insurance will not pay for this. They will pay for regular radiation treatments claiming they do not think Proton Beam is superior to regular external radiation treatments.

there is also microwave bombardment to the prostate also.
