Occasional frequent urination- NO OTHER SYMPTOMS!!!?

Posted by admin on Nov 11, 2009 under Prostate Cancer Frequent Urination

on and off for about 6 years i have had occasional frequent urination with no side effects. Sometimes I will go full strength and a full amount just an hour or so after the last time. Sometimes I feel that I havent voided completely after going. Sometimes I feel this pressure in my bladder/urethra.
I am a healthy 32 yr old male. All tests..i mean ALL..cancer, IC, all stds, etc etc even prostate. ALL NEGATIVE. Diabites as well- negative..
Anyone have similar symptoms or any clue?? They say anything more than 8x a day is too often. I rarely reach that, but this weekend- I just cannot stop going!! No increase in fluid intake either..
Help!

There isn’t anything like 8 times I can recall offhand. Is it that you are spending time in an area where it is cold. Maybe the air-conditioning is turned up more than it suits you, for that is another cause of frequent diuresis.

Cold temperature causes constriction of our blood vessels of the skin, the total area of which, and the volume of the blood they contain, is considerable. This constriction channels the blood into our deepr systemic circulation to maintain body heat and prevent loss of it through the skin. This causes increased filtration by the kidneys since the body senses an increased load. We do not have to take more fluids to experience this. This is one factor likely.

Another is NGU and cyctitis. There are organisms that aren’t picked up by routine tests and cultures. Chlamydia mainly. They may present with mild discomfort at micturition or none at all. Sometimes they may present with severe dysuria.

Further, frequency, or frequent passage of urine could ensue.

These are two possibilities.

Frequent Urination (60+ times a day) and IBS?

Posted by admin on Nov 6, 2009 under Prostate Cancer Frequent Urination

I’m 27 and have been struggling for several years with frequent urination that ultimately leads to insomnia (I believe it is labeled as “nocturia”). I ignored this problem for most of my life and passed it off as a weak bladder, but I soon realized that no matter what changes I made in my diet or beverage intake that my problem was the same if not worse. I’ve seen a dozen doctors/urologists with no help, and now the root cause is more of a mystery than before. I’ve been cleared from having diabetes or enlarged prostate..so I am lost now! Since my guess has been as good as anyone else’s to this point, I’m even more desperate in making progress to improve my health condition. I also have urges to go #2 only at night several times along with the frequent urination. When I void urine at night, it is usually in small amounts, but I NEVER stop going! I am not exagerating when I state that I have recorded going over 60x/a day. Even if I don’t drink barely anything. Any thoughts
Thanks for the reply all. I have gotten just about every test under the sun, and thank god they found nothing wrong, but still no suggestions. Someone recently said I might have nuerological damage? Anyways I have had blood tests, urine tests, ultra sound of my bladder (as if i was pregnant), a camera up my penis! ouch. A "emptying test", apressure test, a psi test of my flow, etcetcetc. I am thinking about an MRI. I honestly go to urinate about every 3 minutes. No joke.

If you are constipated, then BM can block your bladder from allowing urine to flow properly? IBS is linked to spastic bladder ("gotta go, gotta go..etc)…sometimes they give antispasmotic patches or pills (ie Detrol or Detrol LA) for that. Diabetes insipidus is a pituitary condition where people have to urinate a lot at night….they give vasopressin spray in nostrils for that. IBS is also linked to fibromyalgia (not sure that it would account for any of this).

Did the urologist do a urinalysis for infection and blood in the urine? Did the urologist do a urine cytology for cancer cells? Did the urologist do a catscan for urinary stones or cancer? Did the urologist do a PVR (post void residual ) test?

Besides Cancer, What Are The Causes of an Enlarged Prostate?

Posted by admin on Nov 3, 2009 under Prostate Cancer Frequent Urination

Hello Everyone,

If your doctor has determined that you do NOT have prostate cancer, but have a large prostate, what causes this to happen in the first place? I am aware that frequent urination is a main sign of an enlarged prostate, but what causes the prostate to grow in the first place?

What’s causing my frequent urination?

Posted by admin on Oct 27, 2009 under Prostate Cancer Frequent Urination

I have been checked for diabetes and I have no infections of any kind according to blood and urine samples yet I am going very frequently. I don’t have kidney stones either. My doctor says he is not worried about it, but something is causing me to go more than normal. I’m only 32 so prostate should be out of the question. Any suggestions?

Urinating too much liquid ("polyurea") needs to be distinguished from the slightly different symptoms of excessively frequent urination, urinary dribbling, or unusual urgency to urinate. Urinating too much fluid or urinating too often can indicate several serious medical conditions. Some possibilities include urinary tract infections, bladder conditions (e.g. interstitial cystitis), or prostate conditions (e.g. BPH). Also possible are metabolic conditions such as Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, or diabetes insipidus. Seek prompt professional medical advice about urination symptoms

These are just a few diseases or infectios that could cause your problems. You did not say if you was drinking water excessively. If so maybe Diabetes Insipidus. Not related to diabetes….

prostate/urination problems?

Posted by admin on Oct 18, 2009 under Prostate Cancer Frequent Urination

frequent/uncontrollable urination

Chronic urinary tract infection, bladder stones, and polyps can irritate the bladder and cause detrusor muscle instability, leading to urge incontinence. Detrusor muscle instability without a known cause is also common. It has been suggested that, in these cases, an unidentified dysfunction in muscle or nerve tissue is responsible.

It seems I have frequent urination problems only around my girlfriend. it is so strange. what can I do?

It seems I have frequent urination problems only around my girlfriend. it is so strange. what can I do? A lot of it is stress related i think and anxiety over whether or not she is cheating. My prostate is healthy of course, and there is no other explanation. One doctor told me if she is cheating on me, the scent or pheramones of the other male may linger and be present with her causing me to sense the existence of the other male, causing both frequent urination or other psychological effects. If there is no other male present she could be very hormonal herself, menopause, pre-menopause, or I need psychiatric help. My question is, do humans react the same way to the scent of other males as animals do. Do we become more anxious, hypertensive and territorial -like with all the urination thing- seems crazy to me…

first off what ever doctor told you that crock of a story you do not need to go back to him. secondly your frequent urination could be most likely medically speaking, you could have a urinary track infection that you only seem to notice when you are with her and are associating your feelings of anixiety to that situation. however in any case i would seek a physician to get a order to have a urine test performed to rule out and infection, its not your prostate. and the only other likely item would be situational anxiety which would explain the frequent urination with her.

Should I be worried about somewhat frequent urination?

Posted by admin on Oct 12, 2009 under Prostate Cancer Frequent Urination

It isn’t that frequent. Like I’m not getting up in the middle of the night or anything. I don’t think it is anything necessarily serious, especially since I am in my early 20′s. Is it a sign of a less-than-healthy prostate though? Should I be worried as I get older?
And it’s not Chlamydia. I’ve been tested for it in the past.

You say it isn’t that frequent ?? but it is obviously enough to concern you . It could be just a chill on your bladder of kidneys . I suggest you give it a week to settle down and if it is still an issue take a sample along to your doctor and ask for it to be tested for infection
